last minute con preparations aaaahhhh so i couldn’t get a piece of plastic cut down in time for the con (my friend and i found the PERFECT material too…we’ll have to save it for next con), so i was going to just use my phone (and the ziggy app for sound effects, lol) as a makeshift handlink, but i decided at midnight that might be totally lame.  people have made folding models of the gummy bear, but it would be inaccurate to use that.  i dissected an amazon box, and pulled out some nail polishes.  it doesn’t look like much up close, but i am hoping it looks decent enough on camera.  it needs to dry and be touched up in the morning, and i’ll do a few test shots to see how it looks on camera then.  i really should paint the back of it too, but i’m so tired and i can’t really be bothered.  the back will mostly be covered by my hand, anyway.  i also haven’t picked up a cigar -_-  i suppose i need to go to cvs or something and ask for the cheapest full-size cigar that they have, lol.  it’s such an important prop, hopefully i have time in the morning. al’s feet never show in this outfit, so i’m debating between my silver glitter toms and my black chucks.  the chucks would be slightly more comfortable, but the glitter toms feel more al-ish.  we’ll see.

Thanks.  :)  I should be running around all day Saturday with a Lumpy Space Princess, if you happen to see us.  Please be my Rory-Sam, haha. :D  I’m going with Al’s first outfit from Camikazi Kid because I think it’s pretty identifiable as him.  Here’s a rather crappy quick pic I snapped of it the other day -

Megacon

I am attending megacon on Saturday as Al Calavicci from Quantum Leap. I really want to get pictures with random people pretending to be Sam Beckett. Batman, Pikachu, the Doctor, etc etc. It would be fantastic. :D

So after a silly conversation the other night…this happened.  My Sam needed an Al to run around with, and so the boy made it happen.  The three of us (us two + another QL fan friend) had trouble picking a god for Al, but we figured Lyssa suited him best.  He’s a thief, because he’s sneaky.  And of course, he’s fashionable.  So excited. :D
